Kidde Nighthawk-120VAC Direct Plug, Carbon Monoxide Alarm w/ 9V Battery Back-Up
Kidde’s NightHawk™ Deluxe CARBON MONOXIDE ALARM is a direct plug, wall mount and
table-top unit with 6' cord. The Consumer Product Safety Commission recommends
only alarms that meet UL standard 2034, such as NightHawk carbon monoxide
alarms. Five-year limited warranty. Battery included.
FEATURES
Digital readout indicates CO level in parts per million. Updates every 15 seconds - lets you see if levels change.
Loud piercing, pulsating horn sounds when a dangerous level of CO is detected.
Test/Reset button has two functions. It will check sensor and alarm functions, as well as, shut off the alarm. Unit will re-alarm if CO persists.
Peak level button will display highest recorded level of CO since last reset or unplugged.
CO specific sensor never needs replacing.
Unique 8' pull-out transformer/adapter enables the dectector to be used as a direct plug unit, a wall mounted unit or a table top unit.
9 volt battery included.
Never needs recalibration.
UL listed.
5 year (limited) warranty.

- Install at least 15' from heating or cooking appliance and at least 6" from the ceiling.

Vacuum the detector once a month with the brush attachement to remove accumulated dust.

| PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION
|
| BACKGROUND:
|
Air and CO enters into the detector at the bottom vent and circulates through the sensing chamber (metal dioxide sensor), existing through the top vent. Alarm occurs when minimum CO levels are detected. See the 'CO Detector' file in Engineering for detailed inforemation on minimum/maximum CO levels as it relates to the alarm function.
