Guardian III- Model G300-B -Automatic Fire Suppression System w/Gas Shut-off
This
is the newest "B model" that replaces the G300 A fire systems. It now
comes with a brass valve and is using the "Buckeye Kitchen Mister wet
chemical fire suppressant", effective January 16, 2012.When a stove-top fire occurs the sensor will activate at a pre-set temperature and signal the main CPU board. This board automatically sends a signal to release the extinguisher valve assembly, discharging the wet agent and simultaneously activating the CPU mounted alarm.
More outputs are available for additional accessories to be utilized upon the system's activation. Each system can also be wired into an existing alarm panel showing system activation. This system is UL and ULC listed with a fuel shutoff and is listed with or without a pull station.
The big differences between the Guardian 1 System and the Newest Guardian III Systems, are as follows:
- No Electrician Needed for making wiring shut-off connections during the installation, thus saving money.
- This system normally can be installed in about an hour!
- This system activates
automatically at a pre-set temperature, thus not using a mechanical
fusible link, during the detection mode.
- This system is the most user friendly and easiest for the average home-owner to install.
Specifications
Ranges
Electric ranges up to 42" wide X 24" deep or 1,008 sqi. Gas ranges 36" wide by 24" deep or 864 sqi.
Hood
Any standard residential hood with light and fan that meets the same range requirements. Traditional style domestic hoods that have the light/fan located in the center of the hood are more suitable than high-end dual filter hoods. When installed, the bottom of the hood must have a minimum of 18" to the range and cannot exceed 32" from the range.
Nozzles
The tip of the nozzle must be at least 18" above the range and cannot exceed 33".
Sensors
The sensors require a minimum distance of 22" from the range and a maximum height of 36" to the range.
Fuel Shutoff
Each system comes with a gas or electric shutoff. Each shutoff can be wired or wirelessly installed.
