Guardian I- Model1384 B- Mechanical Fire Suppression System w/ REUSABLE Fusible links w/Gas Shut-off

This is the newest "B model" that replaces the Guardian-1384A fire systems. It now comes with a brass valve and is using the "Buckeye Kitchen Mister wet chemical fire suppressant", effective January 16, 2012.

 This wet chemical fire suppression system meets UL 300 A Compliance and will not require the fusible links to be replaced annually.

When a stove-top fire occurs, one or more of the four fusible links will separate, releasing the cable tension.  The tension spring then automatically opens the extinguisher valve assembly which discharges the wet agent through the piping system to the nozzles, and then to the range fire.

The system can also be wired into an existing alarm panel showing system activation.  This system is UL and ULC listed with a fuel shutoff and is listed with or without the pull station.

Please keep in mind, that a licensed electrician will be required to complete the electrical connections for proper shut-off connection.

Range

Designed for both electric and gas standard residential ranges.

Hood

Any standard residential hood with light and fan that meets the same range size requirements. Traditional style domestic range hoods with the light/fan located in the center are more suitabable than high-end dual filter hoods.

Nozzles and Fusible Links

The nozzles and fusible links are installed directly above the range and must be within a set maximum and minimum distance from the range.

Fuel Shutoff

Each system is UL listed with a gas or electric fuel shutoff.

Optional Accessories

A manual pull station is available.

Provisions are available for the Guardian system to be wired into a fire alarm panel. Please add an extra Micro-switch G-M11A.
